Lake Poinsett Sanitary District
Lake Poinsett Sanitary District
For anyone interested in sharing thoughts, the Lake Poinsett Sanitary District holds monthly meeting on the 2nd Saturday at Sioux Lake every month. For those who don’t understand how the district works or has a better idea for operating the system, they are more than welcome to attend and comment. The district reports to the stakeholders around the Lake, and must comply with rules and regulations from EPA, the US Clean Water Act, and the SD DENR. The District is a non-profit organization, meaning we pay out all of the money we collect to operate the system.
Again, you are all welcome to attend the meetings. We would ask that you let one of us on the board know you are coming to make sure we have enough room, although we’ve never attracted a big crowd. While sewer and garbage issues are glamorous, other lake activities often trump our public meetings. Your board members are Larry Furney, Chairman, Bob Anderson, Dale Larson, Rick Ideker and John Heisler. Bob Westall is the system operator and insures the collection systems is operational. Feel free to contact any of us and let us know you will attend a meeting.
Thanks,
John Heisler

Financial statement would be good to see for sanitary board. Also their bi-laws.
Please list the contact info for the Board of Directors. I have left 2 messages and now the voice-mail is full and can not even leave a message, no returned calls.
Jay,
This is an excerpt from an email sent by John H a sewer board member.
Bob Westall is the LPSD System Operator. All sewer issues should be directed to Bob via phone at (605) 203-0372 Cell, and (605) 983-5444 Home. Please keep these numbers on your speed dial as we want to respond on a timely basis before minor problems become major issues.
